Ondara is a town of over 7,000 people located only 15 minutes from the Blue Flag beach of Las Marinas in Denia, and a 50 minute drive from Alicante Airport.
Ondara is a charming town with a wealth of history and is the only town in the Marina Alta to have a bullring, known as "La Joya Levantina", this is an historic Building which was rebuilt in 1957, though there are no bull fights as it is now banned in the Valencian Community.
Ondara is still today a town which relies heavily on agriculture, in particular Oranges and Lemons, though the building of the La Marina shopping center has enabled the town to expand as a local retail hub for the surrounding towns and villages.
Ondara has its own Sports Center, with an indoor swimming pool, a selection of supermarkets and an open market every wednesday morning as well as so many more amenities
To the north of Ondara are Oliva and Gandia, with the similar sized towns of Orba and Pego just slightly inland and Denia is only 10 minutes drive.
The town of Ondara´s main fiesta is that of Sant Jaume De Ondara which are held each year from the 20th July to the 28 July
